Things to Do

When you stay at Texas Hills RV Haven, you have easy access to a variety of activities in the surrounding Texas Hill Country.

We're right on Lake Buchanan, where you can enjoy great fishing (largemouth bass, white bass, striped bass, and catfish), boating and kayaking. And the lake is a great place for swimming, wading, sunbathing, or just relaxing.

If you don't mind a short drive, you can head to Colorado Bend State Park, Inks Lake State Park, Longhorn Caverns, and Enchanted Rock where you'll find beautiful sights and sounds of outdoor Texas hill country paradise.

Vineyard's and craft beer/spirits establishments abound around the area. There are also plenty of locations to dine and catch live music.

Lake Buchanan

Lake Buchanan, the second largest Highland Lake in Central Texas, is an outdoorsman's paradise. The lake has over 22,00 acres of surface area and over 120 miles of shoreline.

Lake Buchanan is well known as a great place for fishing. The lake is stocked with largemouth/smallmouth bass, striped bass, white bass, hybrids, Guadalupe bass and several species of catfish, and fishing is excellent year round. In the spring you can expect to find white bass as they start their spawn, in the fall, largemouth bass can be found in the lake's shallow areas.

Boating on Lake Buchanan is also popular year round. We have a boat ramp on property, but depending on the lake level there are a number of good boat ramps within a couple miles of us.  In our cove you can ties off to shore your boat and we have an area for you to drop your trailer.

For more information on Lake Buchanan, give us a call. We'll be glad to help.
